Workshop Wednesday 03/12/14

A before and after shot of a balance spring Lance is working on
2 1/2 weeks left of term before the Christmas holidays and deadlines are fast approaching. Second and third years need to hand in half of their repair portfolios of clocks or watches and the first and second years have making projects to hand in - the mini clock and the cock and plate project.

It's been an exciting term with many people showing an interest in the course, most notably The Duchess of Cornwall, Camilla Parker Bowles came and spoke to our students.

Lance has been carefully selecting the correct size jewels from his stash to fit in a pocket watch
He has also been showing off his new set of Bergeon screwdrivers that he got for his birthday

Corrie has been working on an Ansonia with a balance wheel. It was in a bad
condition so it's an achievement to have it ticking

Ruth is making pillars for the mini clock project

Rosie is compiling the components to make a chain and sprocket assembly

And finally, here are the technical drawings and the starting shape of the Ritchie's balance cock
